Emergency Assistance
We provide financial assistance to community members who are experiencing hunger and/or homelessness due to a life-changing emergency, chronic disease, and/or medical diagnosis.
Emergency Food and Shelter Program
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), chaired by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and administered locally by Frederick County Continuum of Care Coalition, supplements and expands the ongoing work of local social service organizations, both nonprofit and governmental, to provide shelter, food and supportive services to individuals, families and households who are experiencing, or at risk of, hunger and/or homelessness.
Medical Expense Assistance Program
With support from Frederick County Community Foundation, the Asian American Center of Frederick is able to provide financial support to community members and their families who are experiencing financial difficulties related to the following reasons:
-
- Cancer disease
- Children with special needs
