The Asian American Center of Frederick provides vital services to assist lower income, minority, or immigrant groups reach their full potential through access to health insurance enrollment, interpreter/translation services, ESL and Citizenship classes, mentoring, housing, education, employment and business development services.
AACF offers a year-round program with weekly classes and one-on-one civics coaching available. The goal is to prepare applicants for the citizenship test through studying American history and government.
AACF provides prenatal and parenting classes, the Little Free Library, and the yearly free Health Fair for
our ethnic and immigrant communities.
AACF offers year-round English classes in three proficiency levels. Each level covers speaking, reading, and writing English.
AACF provides interpreter services to community members to improve access to education, health and social services. Interpreters are paid by service providers. Interpreters receive on-going professional development and training. AACF currently has interpreters for 30+ languages and dialects including Spanish, Burmese, Hindi, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Russian, French and American Sign Language (ASL).
