The need for interpreters is growing! According to the 2010 census, Frederick County has experienced an increase in emergent communities representing many world languages. In Asian communities, there was a 174% increase in population since the last census. This statistical fact, coupled with our strong presence in minority communities, compelled us to fill a very real need by creating AACF’s Language Resources program.
Since April of 2011, we have leveraged several exclusive contracts. Our interpreters actively work in various settings, such as hospitals, medical facilities, private and commercial businesses, government agencies and legal climates.
Our resources are accessible to residents in Frederick, MD and surrounding counties. With over 20 languages and dialects, AACF interpreting services can help your organization work more intimately with limited English speakers. We provide professional community interpreters who do more than simply translate words – they relay concepts and ideas between languages, using both colloquial and medical, technical, or professional terminology in both languages, in order to facilitate a full understanding by the client. In addition, our interpreters are sensitive to the cultures associated with their languages of expertise.
