programes-1The Asian American Center of Frederick provides vital services to assist lower income, minority, or immigrant groups reach their full potential through access to health insurance enrollment, interpreter/translation services, ESL and Citizenship classes, mentoring, housing, education, employment and business development services.

Senior Center Plus: The Senior Center Plus Program is a collaboration between Daybreak Adult Day Services and the Asian American Center of Frederick.

Health Insurance Enrollment: Within Frederick County the Asian American Center of Frederick is the only community based agency to help people find out what they qualify for and enroll residents in Medicaid or Qualified Health Plans.  In addition to assistance in health insurance enrollment, we also offer health insurance literacy workshops (English & Spanish).

Citizenship Integration Services: AACF offers a year-round program with weekly classes and one-on-one civics coaching available.  The goal is to prepare applicants for the citizenship test through studying American history and government.

Language Resources: AACF provides interpreter services to community members to improve access to education, health and social services. Interpreters are PAID by service providers. Interpreters receive on-going professional development and training. AACF currently has interpreters for 15 languages and dialects including  Spanish, Burmese, Hindi, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Russian, French and American Sign Language (ASL).

English as a Second Language Classes: AACF offers year-round English classes in four proficiency levels.  Each level covers speaking, reading, and writing English.

Hep B Clinic: AACF works closely with Hepatitis B Initiative – Washington DC and Frederick County Hepatitis Clinic.
